John Ward first began working as a stone mason in 1988. As a self-taught artisan, he gained experience while working on jobs in Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. With this growing experience, he began to seek out work as his own boss and, in 1992, formed his small business: Archway Stone Masonry.
